Dr. Larry Chew

Larry Chew is a professor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Central Florida and had been involved in teacher training for the pas twelve years. He has been funded by both the National Science Foundation and the Florida Department of Education to train teachers in inquiry instruction. He has also worked closely with many districts throughout the state of Florida to improve science and mathematics education in the schools. Dr. Chew is currently funded by the Florida Department of Education, Math Science Partnership grant to train teachers on inquiry Instruction.

Inquiry Institute Offers:

• High quality professional development for K-12 science and mathematics teachers that is correlated to state and national standards. Most of the programs offered are inquiry based, include resources that teachers can implement in their classrooms immediately, and are engaging for students.
• Books on inquiry, lesson plans, classroom resources, and ideas to help develop inquiry based lessons that are based on Sunshine State Standards.
• Science Kits and Supplies to go along with the lessons
• Videos of engaging inquiry lessons.
